Terms written to be read

By accessing or using ConvertPDF.ai (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including anonymous free users, registered free users, and paid subscribers. “You” and “your” refer to the individual or entity accessing the Service.

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

ConvertPDF.ai provides browser-based PDF processing tools including conversion, compression, editing, annotation, and related operations (collectively the “Service”).

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

Creating an account is optional for the free plan. You may use the full free plan anonymously. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You may not impersonate another person or create an account on behalf of someone else without their authorisation.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for your personal or internal business purposes.

You may use the Service to:

• Convert, compress, edit, annotate, merge, split, or otherwise process PDF files that you own or have rights to process.
• Process documents on behalf of your employer or clients, provided you have appropriate authorisation.
• Download and retain the output files generated by the Service.
• Share output files with third parties as part of your normal business or personal activities.

You may not use the Service to:

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate termination of your access and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.

The Service, including its interface, design, codebase, processing algorithms, and all related intellectual property, is owned by ConvertPDF.ai and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.

You are granted a limited licence to use the Service as described in these Terms. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights in the Service beyond this licence.

ConvertPDF.ai®, the ConvertPDF.ai logo, and related marks are trademarks of ConvertPDF.ai. You may not use these marks without our prior written consent.

Any feedback, suggestions, or feature requests you submit to us may be used by us without obligation to you.

You retain full ownership of any files you upload to the Service. Uploading a file does not transfer any ownership rights to us.

By uploading a file, you grant ConvertPDF.ai a limited, temporary, non-exclusive licence to process that file solely for the purpose of providing you with the requested output. This licence expires when the file is deleted from our servers.

We do not claim any ownership of, or right to use, the content of your files beyond the immediate processing operation.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ConvertPDF.ai disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:

• Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
• Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
• Warranties regarding the accuracy or completeness of any output produced by the Service.
• Warranties that files uploaded to the Service will be processed without loss or corruption.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CONVERTPDF.AI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill.
• Cost of substitute services.
• Damage to your computer or devices from viruses or malicious code.
• Any losses arising from your reliance on output produced by the Service.
• Unauthorised access to or alteration of your transmissions or data.

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

You may close your account at any time from your account settings. Closing your account cancels any active subscription at the end of the current billing period.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including IP ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — will survive any termination of these Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by applicable laws, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved through appropriate legal channels.

Users in the European Economic Area have the additional right to bring a claim before their national courts or the relevant supervisory authority under the GDPR.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes:

• The 'Last updated' date at the top of this page will be updated.
• A notice will be posted on our homepage for at least 30 days.
• Paid account holders will receive an email notification.
• Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
